Its teleoperation system lets real chefs prepare meals remotely in customers' homes, giving cooks a way to earn from their own recipes without opening a restaurant or travelling between households. ### [Inoka Mask Safe](https://inoka.uk/) Inoka is the first complete solution for safely carrying, storing, and sterilizing face masks for reuse. Tested by a 3rd party microbiology lab for its effectiveness, it makes reusing face masks safer and just as easy as disposing of them. Within a few months of launch, Inoka was able to onboard hundreds of affiliates and fulfill thousands of orders. ### [Ambience Face Shield](https://yin.design/ambience) Senselessly Comfortable, Convenient and Clear. Ambience is a face shield designed to work with the dental workflow and equipments. It is the face shield of choice at the Canadian Dental Hygienist Association, McGill and over half of Canadian dental schools and public health institutions. With hundreds of testimonials from dental professionals it was voted best product of the year on 4 of US and Canada's largest dental publications. ### [XREAL (Formerly Nreal)](https://yin.design/nreal) XREAL is an award-winning hardware startup and the current market leading android-based augmented reality platform. Making it safer to enjoy high quality audio during bike transmute and offering a relaxing period for the ears after prolonged listening periods with an over-ear. ### [Nylo](https://yin.design/nylo) Recyclable, hygienic, ergonomic, compact and convenient toothbrush & toothpaste packaging for frequent travelers. ### [Dancraft China](https://yin.design/dancraft) The first Minecraft MMORPG server in China, my greatest passion as a 13-14 year old. His servers, along with another Minigames server based in the US, has garnered over 275,000 users and over 70,000 paying subscribers. ### [fyx](https://yin.design/fyx) A pretotyping project for the business administration module. Daniel and his team designed a new business that maintains bikes on-campus. For which he designed and rendered this bike locking trailor, the service story board and the fyx website. ### [spry Automatic Pestle & Mortar](https://yin.design/spry) A ballet of flavours in a single press: spry is an over-the-pan battery powered pestle & mortar. High amount of user data was collected through out the design of spry and a functional prototype was built tested with users. Share the running experience with the whole family while loosing "baby-fat" (maternal fat). ### [Anomaly](https://yin.design/anomaly) A contemporary bookshelf design inspired by the art of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian. (and for holding your pizza, or holding a hot pot, or covering your cup, or sit underneath your cup...) ### [Random Brand x Random Item](https://yin.design/cinderella30) As a minor university project, Daniel was given a random brand and product to design. Jimmy Choo and... central heating controller? oof! ### [Binception](https://yin.design/binception) It's like an onion but it holds your trash. Just remove a layer every time you fill the bin. The layers are made from decomposable paper pulp similar to those you have for single-use paper bowls. One of the first patented designs from my highschool society! ### [Slab Lock](https://yin.design/slablock) Most toilets in china are still squat-toilets. Therefore, phones and wallets won't survive in your pocket, you have to hold it or put it somewhere. Slab lock incorporates a slab for your items with the lock, so you will never leave anything behind. (this was a big problem in my high school and my society implemented this fix with success) ### [Music](https://yin.design/music) I play the drums, piano, guitar, bass and sing. I improvise and produce music. ## Engineering ### [Custom FOC Stepper Driver](https://yin.design/focdriverpcb) Fully custom NEMA23 FOC stepper driver, from MCU, encoders and driver to clock, power management and communications. Custom SimpleFOC-based firmware reached 3,000 rpm, delivering QDD-level dynamics in my Tepan system at 1/100 the cost. ### [AR Robotic Sandbox](https://yin.design/robosandbox) An AR virtual sandbox that tells a Franka Panda robotic arm where to place bricks. The AR application records and outputs brick sequence and position to a path planning system built using ROS. Robot control was implemented through Movelt. ### [Modular Smart Button](https://yin.design/smartbutton) A innovative structural design for modular smart buttons in the form factor of a men's shirt button. The one in the picture shows an IC Button housing a 32-bit SAM Microcontroller and its power regulating circuit. The button can also house batteries, sensors and actuators. The buttons connect to each other with up to 8 conductive threads. ### [Audio Processing Dancing Segway](https://yin.design/dancingsegway) A self-balancing robot that dances to the beat of any music. Coded from scratch from a set of sensors, drivers and an empty pyboard. ### [3D printer designs and builds](https://yin.design/3dprinterbuilds) Over 2 years of founding and running the Creative Engineering Workshop at his highschool, Daniel and the team designed and built 3 different 3d printing systems. He was later invited as the youngest member of the additive manufaturing association of the Guangdong province in China and secured his first internship at Riton Lazers co., ltd. ### [Dynamic Stress Propagation & Energy Absorption of Lattices](https://yin.design/_files/ugd/06cc4a_869e17feafbc4001817f93cc614fba79.pdf) Generated and investigated the dynamic stress propagation and energy absorption properties of several novel lattice structures via Rhino w/ Grasshopper -> LS-Dyna simulation. And grounding with physical test rig, 6 axis force sensor and high speed camera. ### [Mûzone](https://yin.design/muzone) An in development indie game that originated from one of Daniel's personal projects at a 3-months coding bootcamp at General Assembly. ### [MozArt](https://yin.design/mozart) A physical computer that turns sketches into songs. Mozart is currently being developed into a full music composition app aiming to initially penetrate the market of chinese wechat users. ### [Donaco](https://yin.design/donaco) Daniel was the full-stack developer and UIUX designer for an AI for Charity startup Donaco from April to September 2017. The startup has won first place at the 2017 Microsoft Imagine Cup UK Finals and being selected as Imperial College London's 3 startups of that year. ### [iLock!](https://yin.design/ilock) An ultra intuitive screen unlocking system that utilizes the 2 halves of the phone and tapping and swiping actions. This prevents leaving any decipherable smudges on the screen and allows blind tactile input that cannot be caught on camera. (Microsoft 3-hack best design award) ### [The tetromino project](https://yin.design/tetromino) A custom written algorithm designed to fill in a tetromino shade that has an arbitrary size and density, achieving accuracy of 96% and filling 10k squares in 3.2 seconds. The algorithm runs in linear time complexity. ### [Reverse Engineering Project](https://yin.design/reveng) A materials and production analysis project for the interior of a mini sewing machine. A bill of material and production process was made and their properties and environmental impact analyzed. ### [Pal-V Flying Car Chassis](https://yin.design/cae) An iterative structural design process for the chassis of Pal-V, a personal flying car.
